Coal Miner's Daughter, the Academy Award-winning movie about the life of Loretta Lynn was released. Texans Sissy Spacek played Loretta and Tommy Lee Jones played the part of Moony Lynn. (Urban legend claims that Bologna sales increased ten-fold.)
